Every service at Aahana begins with a Visia skin analysis and a Prakriti constitutional assessment. What follows is a protocol built around your clinical data, your skin tone, and your goals.
Your first visit
at Aahana
Forty five minutes. Visia imaging measures your skin, Dr. Mundluru examines it, and you leave with a sequenced treatment plan: which procedures, in what order, and how far apart.

Imaging comes before any treatment is recommended, for everyone. The other two are optional, carry their own cost, and are suggested only where the result would change what the plan says.
Eight features of the skin photographed under standardized light, including ultraviolet imaging that shows pigment damage sitting below the surface before it emerges. Separating the red channel from the brown is what distinguishes pigment from inflammation in deeper skin, where the two look identical to the eye.

Visia skin analysis →A swab that reads which organisms live on your skin, in what proportion, and what they are producing. It is a measurement of the present rather than a diagnosis, and its value shows up on the repeat test, after something has been changed deliberately. It is not a genetic test and reads none of your own DNA.
Optional, for an additional fee. Recommended where straightforward treatment has already failed.
Skin microbiome testing →Individual markers chosen from the clinical picture rather than a fixed panel, where something systemic appears to be driving a skin problem. Never a general wellness screen. Any value outside the normal range is communicated to your primary care physician.

Neuromodulators relax targeted muscles to smooth dynamic wrinkles, lift specific areas, and subtly contour the face. Used for the forehead, glabella, crow's feet, brow lifting, lip lines, neck bands, and more.
Results visible in 3 to 14 days. Duration typically 3 to 4 months.
Botox and Dysport →Hyaluronic acid fillers restore volume and define contours. Dr. Shankar approaches filler as a structural tool, with each placement considering facial balance, tissue depth, and long-term outcomes. Used for cheeks, lips, jawline, temples, and nasolabial folds.
Results immediate, refined over 2 weeks. Duration 9 to 18 months depending on area.
Dermal fillers →Rather than adding immediate volume, biostimulators signal your skin to produce its own collagen, creating gradual, lasting improvement in skin quality and structural support. Sculptra uses poly-L-lactic acid; Radiesse uses calcium hydroxylapatite. Both work best as part of a longer-term rejuvenation strategy.
Results develop over 4 to 12 weeks. Duration 1 to 2 years or more.
Sculptra and Radiesse →A hyaluronic acid gel placed in the skin itself as small microdroplets rather than underneath it. It treats smoothness and hydration rather than shape, and it is FDA approved for the cheeks and, since June 2026, for lines on the neck.
Visible in 1 to 2 weeks, assessed at 1 month. Retreatment studied at around 6 months.
SkinVive →PRP concentrates your own growth factors from a small blood draw to stimulate tissue renewal. What it does depends on where it goes, so each use has its own page, its own protocol and its own account of the evidence behind it.

XERF skin tightening →A 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser that delivers energy in 650-microsecond pulses with no contact, no cooling, and no numbing. It is cleared for more than thirty indications, and at Aahana it is used primarily for acne, rosacea and persistent redness, melasma and post-inflammatory pigmentation, vascular lesions, scarring, and overall skin quality.
Typically a series, spaced two to four weeks apart. No numbing, no cooling, and no social downtime.
Aerolase Neo Elite →Further devices are being assessed for resurfacing and specific pigmentary concerns, with the same requirement applied to each: demonstrated safety across all six Fitzpatrick types, not just the lighter three. Additions will be announced only once that standard is met.
The world's first multifrequency monopolar RF treatment
XERF is the only device that combines 6.78 MHz and 2 MHz frequencies, reaching the superficial, middle, and deep layers of the skin in a single session. Why the first laser here is a 1064 nm one
Most laser injury in deeper skin comes from wavelengths that melanin absorbs strongly: the epidermis competes with the intended target for the energy, and the result is a burn or a patch of hyperpigmentation. At 1064 nm the Neo Elite sits at the longest wavelength in common aesthetic use and the one melanin absorbs least, which is why Nd:YAG is the platform most often chosen for Fitzpatrick types IV through VI.
Aerolase pairs that wavelength with a 650-microsecond pulse, placed deliberately between the nanosecond and millisecond ranges, which the manufacturer credits for limiting thermal spread into surrounding tissue. In practice it means treatment without contact, without cryogen or contact cooling, and without topical anesthetic.
Choosing this device first, rather than a resurfacing laser, is a deliberate decision about who this practice is built for.

Controlled micro-injuries stimulate the skin's natural repair cascade, producing new collagen and elastin. Effective for texture refinement, scar reduction, pore size, and overall skin quality. Needle depth and parameters are calibrated to your skin and goals.
Microneedling →Topical exosomes are applied after microneedling, while the skin is open. The signaling they carry is well characterized in the laboratory. What that translates to on the face is less settled than the marketing around it suggests, and the page sets out where the evidence actually stands.
Topical exosomes →Chemical exfoliation accelerates cell turnover and addresses pigmentation, texture, and active acne. Peel selection is determined by your skin tone, sensitivity, and goals. Deeper skin tones require particular care in acid selection and post-procedure support.
