This policy covers aahanasf.com. It does not cover the medical records of patients, which are governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices and by California law.

What this site collects

This website has no advertising pixels and no cross-site tracking scripts. We do not know who you are when you read a page here.

We do count page views, using Vercel Web Analytics, so we can tell which pages people find useful. It sets no cookies, stores no IP address, and builds no profile of you. What we see is a count, not a person. It cannot tell us that a particular visitor read a particular page, and we have deliberately not used Google Analytics or any advertising network for this.

Information reaches us in only three ways.

  • The waitlist form. If you join the waitlist, you give us the information you type into that form. It is delivered to us through Tally, the form service that hosts it. The mobile number field on that form is optional, and entering one is how you consent to be texted. See Text messages below.
  • Email. If you email us, we have your email address and whatever you write.
  • Server logs. Our host records standard request data, including IP address, browser type and the page requested. This is ordinary web server operation and is used for security and reliability.

Please do not send medical details, photographs of a condition, or anything else you would consider private through the waitlist form or by email. Neither is a secure channel. Those conversations belong in a consultation.

What it is used for

  • To contact you about opening, appointments and the waitlist.
  • To answer what you asked.
  • To keep the site running and secure.

We do not sell information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to build a profile of you.

Text messages

If you give us a mobile number and agree to be texted, we use it to send appointment reminders and scheduling messages, care instructions related to a treatment, and occasional practice updates. Agreeing to receive text messages is optional. It is not a condition of joining the waitlist, of booking, or of receiving care, and you can decline and still be contacted by email.

We will not share mobile information or personally identifiable information with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile numbers are never sold, rented, or passed to advertisers or data brokers. They reach only the messaging and scheduling providers that send our texts on our behalf, and those providers are not permitted to use them for anything of their own.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP to any message for help, and reply STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE to stop receiving texts. You can also ask us to remove your number at any time by emailing hello@aahanaskin.com. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Text messaging is not a secure channel and is not the place for medical detail. Please do not send symptoms, photographs of a condition, or anything else you would consider private by text.

Who else touches it

A handful of services are involved in delivering this website, and each one necessarily sees something.

  • Vercel hosts the site, records server logs, and provides the page view counts described above.
  • Tally hosts the waitlist form and stores what you submit to it. Tally's code is not loaded while you are reading. It is fetched only at the moment you click to open the waitlist, so Tally is not told which pages you looked at.
  • Google Fonts serves the typefaces. Loading a font transmits your IP address to Google.
  • cdnjs and jsDelivr serve two animation libraries, which likewise means your IP address reaches those networks.

Each of those has its own privacy policy, and their handling of your data is governed by it rather than by this page.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. The third parties listed above may set their own when their content loads, and the waitlist form may set a cookie while you are completing it.

How long we keep it

Waitlist entries are kept until the practice opens and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted. Email is kept as long as it is useful for the conversation it belongs to. Server logs are kept for a short period by our host as part of normal operation.

Your rights in California

If you live in California, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request that it be deleted, to request that it be corrected, and to be free from discrimination for exercising any of those rights.

To make a request, email hello@aahanaskin.com. We will need enough information to confirm who you are before acting on a request, and we will not use what you send for that purpose for anything else.

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, so there is nothing to opt out of.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, email us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, which is the reason for the request above not to send anything medical through this website.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top. Material changes will be described rather than quietly folded in.
